Well whenever one thinks that maybe Festival could be a goer one hears tales of scorpions under rocks and "only" seeing a mamma spider with her little spiderlings this last time.... well one can't help feel perhaps the place is as overrun with nasty stingy bitey things as you thought.

Never mind the snakes.

It is not a cheery thought that I won't see as many because I'm shortsighted.

Hee!! Wear big stompy boots and you'll scare off all the ones that you meet while out and about.

I spent a whole Festival sharing my bed with a family of spiders that we discovered during pack-up, which wasn't as bad as the time I woke up at my friend's sheep station with a python dozing between my feet.

For those who are not learning to become Big Butch Aussies, we recommend tents with zips that stay zipped. And we tend to supply same to all sweet Kiwis.
